Running Reflection--January 5
Eugene and Me--praying together

His Hands

O God, please help the hungry, the sick, the lonely, the addicted, the discouraged, the unlovely, the orphan, the widow, the lost, the poor……..

“God's method is a person.”

.--E. Stanley Jones

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe that “person” is….you?

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”
                                       .--Matthew 25:37-40 (NIV)

I tend to want that person to be anyone but me-how about it being you?

Ryan

Sorry Chris, I asked you first--no tag backs.

On a whole other tangent I was thinking about E. Stanley Jones' quote in a different way. I don't know the context of the quote but what if the "person" is Jesus? God's method.....of redemption. Not an animal, a ritual, an incantation, but rather a person and not just any person....His own Son.
